Reasons why investing in land for sale in Kenya is lucrative
Investing in land for sale in Kenya is very lucrative. That probably could be the reason why there are so many investors putting their businesses in Kenya today.
Now, there are lots of investments going on in Kenya grouped under the commercial investment and the residential investment. Now of the two, people tend to venture so much into the commercial one because it’s profit making, considering that it is mostly carried out in the central business district, where business activities is the order of the day.
An example of such investment opportunities going on in Kenya is the real estate business. In Nairobi for example, a one acre plot of land which used to go at Ksh 30 Million in 2007 is today going at Ksh 170 Million. This shows just how fast the prices of land are increasing. A person can purchase a piece of land for sale in Kenya then sell it at a future date at an increased price, given the fact that land appreciates.
Apart from the land itself, one can decide to set up a business at the central business district, which he can be sure to reap lots of cash. Among the key businesses that one can do in the central business district include putting up buildings which will serve as business premises, office spaces as well as accommodation facilities. With office space for instances, an investor can be sure to earn lots of cash, considering the fact that most business and jobs are operated in the city centers. This is typical of the major towns in Kenya, top ones being Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, Eldoret, Nakuru and Thika and several other towns in the country.
Besides these, there are also plots of land for sale in Kenya which can be used to set up things like industries. Such like towns include Kisumu, Kakamega Homabay and many others. In Kisumu for example, there are certain industries which can be resuscitated. Such like industries include one Kisumu Cotton Mills, (KICOMI) a textile industry which collapsed as a result of the introduction of the second hand clothes, commonly known as Mitumba into the market. At the moment, the county government is looking into ways in which such like companies can be brought back to life. They’re at the same time calling onto investors to take up the challenge and put up businesses in the city, as a way of encouraging investments. One other thing that can also be done in Kisumu is the establishment of the fish processing plant, Kisumu being a fishing hub.
This can help in the preservation as well as in the value addition of the fish, which is normally also exported to outside countries, some of them being the European countries which are considered the number one consumer of the two major species of fish produced by Lake Victoria, namely Nile perch and Tilapia. This is also common with regions such as Bondo in Siaya County, Miuru Bay and Homabay among other places.

This just tells how lucrative it is to invest in land for sale in Kenya, as you’ll be able to earn yourself some good cash.
